Run Find Your Happy Pace

finding my happy pace in running and life

Motivational Monday – February 16, 2015 – Make Someone Happy

This week I am challenging myself and you to make someone else happy this week.  Maybe you have been feeling a little down and out lately?  But do you also have someone in your life who could use a little cheering up?

I think Mark Twain might be on to something here…

Motivational Monday – Time and Patience

Good things come to those who wait and all great achievements really do require time and effort.  In our modern high-tech world we are always in a mad dash for the here and now.  We stumble over each other, and sometimes even ourselves, trying to get or to achieve what we want, when we want it. (which is usually right now!) We want to be the best, the fastest, the one who gets there first.

Although the modern world has brought us so many magnificent things that help make life easier (and faster) we many times lose sight of the fact that great things, truly great things, are worth our time, effort and patience.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.

Motivational Monday – January 26, 2015 Admitting Mistakes

This quote from the wonderful Billy Graham couldn’t have come on a better day for me, what a great reminder.

I have definitely made some (ok many) parenting mistakes I wish I could take back.  I have learned that stress is one of my biggest factors for “losing it”.  I have also learned it’s not only ok but actually a great example to my children to admit when I have been wrong.  When I have acted or spoken out of anger or when I have not handled a situation so well.

In turn we should also ask God for forgiveness.  For he is a God of love, mercy and grace.

James 5:16  New International Version
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Motivational Monday – January 12, 2015 Renewed Each Day

I found another great quote for not only a Monday morning but every morning.  I was unable to locate the author of the original words but it doesn’t make them any less wonderful.  God doesn’t just hold onto the broken pieces He fixes them.

Blessing for a wonderful day, week, month and year!

Motivational Monday Nov 24, 2014 – The Spirit of Christmas

As we head into the Christmas season I thought this was a perfect reminder on Motivational Monday.  Keep the spirit of Christmas in your heart all year-long.

Have a blessed week!

Motivational Monday – November 17 2014 Live in the Now.

I’ve gotten better about not living in the past and when it starts to sneak up on me I stop myself.  For I am not the person I was yesterday.  However there are many times I spend so much time worrying about what will happen tomorrow I forget to really LIVE for today.  I thought this was a great quote.  Enjoy.

Have a great week!

Motivational Monday Oct 20, 2014 – Anxiety

Anxiety.  An ugly word most people don’t like to talk about but here it goes.

I myself have suffered from panic attacks and anxiety.  Not something I am very proud of, or like to admit freely.  No one likes to feel week or out of control.  I often worry about the “What If’s” of life.  I’m not saying you should never look ahead but for me there are times it can totally get out of hand.  As I have worked on my closer walk with God these past few years,  I have also been learning to “Let Go and Let God”    It hasn’t always been easy and I still find myself reverting back to my “What If” mentality.  However I know the signs to look for and when reality and anxiety begins to collide.  Do I still suffer from anxiety, yes sometimes.  But the episodes are few and far between.  I look to God even more in those times and do my best to pray thru the anxiety.  I love this verse and maybe some of you can relate?
